Credit hours will follow the MASMS standards, that are used for the certification program. On-line training offered by the Metro ECSU and Service Cooperatives will be recorded as 100% for credit hours.  All other on-line training will be recorded as 25% for credit hours.

If you choose to take any of the classes/workshops (listed here or others that you find), you must email the MASMS office with the following info:
  • Your Name and Email Address
  • Date you took the on-line course.
  • Title of the course and who offered it.
  • Length of the course.

Introduction to Access Control | Tuesday, October 24th from 8 am to noon

Learn to identify the basic components in an access control system. You will understand how to select appropriate power supplies and coordinate with Division 28 low voltage wiring. We will practice code compliant solutions and teach the requirements for specifying special locking arrangements.

NFPA 80 for Fire Rated Swing Doors and Basic Architectural Hardware
Tuesday, October 24th from 1pm to 5pm
Learn the NFPA 80 standards for swinging fire doors and review the 13 point inspection requirements to ensure compliance. We'll also cover basic architectural hardware including hanging, securing, controlling and protecting the door.
